The drying drum of forced intermittent asphalt mixing plant adopts countercurrent heating mode, that is, the burner is arranged at the discharge end of the drying drum, and the gas and cold aggregate move reversely to fully exchange heat. Both ends of the drying drum are installed with the inlet and outlet boxes respectively. The sealing of the matching is extremely important to the thermal efficiency of the drying drum. Poor sealing will cause the external cold air to leak into the drum due to the negative pressure of the drum. Too much air leakage will not only increase the exhaust volume of the system, but also change the air flow pressure difference, reduce the flow rate of flue gas and affect the thermal efficiency of the drying drum.
During the operation of the drying system, the inlet and outlet box is fixed, while the drum rotates. During the rotation process, the drum will move along the axial direction due to various factors. Therefore, the sealing between the inlet and outlet box and the drum should not only ensure that the drum has a good vacuum, but also overcome the impact of the drum movement. At the same time, the sealing part should be able to withstand the influence of dust and temperature in the drying drum. Therefore, the selection of appropriate sealing structure is very important to ensure the thermal efficiency and normal operation of the drying system.
