During the construction of asphalt pavement, it needs to go through a series of processes such as paving, rolling and shaping. Among them, the rolling is definitely not like what you think. In fact, three steps will be involved in the rolling stage, which is called "three steps of rolling". What do these three steps mean and what are their functions?
The asphalt concrete is in a relatively soft state after paving by the paver. The initial compaction shall be carried out immediately after paving, and the light steel wheel roller shall be used for static pressure to make the asphalt concrete have a preliminary position and preliminary compactness, so as to ensure that there is no displacement during vibration rolling.
Effect of compound pressure

Effect of final pressure
